Never Been Here Before
You say “we”
You say “we”
when you mean “I.”
It doesn’t bother me,
I won’t cry.
As long as we can galk
in pain, or not,
let’s listen, let’s talk.
If you want, we can brew a pot.
This morning, as ever,
I got up then sat down to work.
You called, said, Why don’t you come over?
I just put the coffee on to perk.
It’s the oldest tale.
Who cares if we forget to check the mail.
